Here's the second part of the playthrough starting with Dracula's break in to the pharmaceutical company that the first acolyte is in charge of.
Some thoughts and tips -
- hoo boy. Stealth. I don't like it either, but I'm used to the game in general, at least when I was playing it in October 2025, and it was not too bad. When I was playing on Creature of the Night difficulty, I had to remember what I was doing in 2014, but it was not too hard for me to figure out. Seriously though, who wants to play Metal Gear style stuff in an action game? I sure don't. Getting caught is an instakill from the guards too on Prince of Darkness difficulty.
- Dracula's Plague of Rats power - if you lose rats, you can walk into the darkness that lets you change and you'll get more rats - I kept thinking that you had to change back into Dracula, but as soon as you walk into the dark portal, you'll see your rat counter go back up to 9.
- Since it's not always immediately obvious where to go, if you see a transition sometimes in an area where there were no enemies, it means that I got lost and had to wander around finding where to grab a handhold or something. That happens in Bernhard's Wing when I had to climb up. It happened again at the part where I had to climb in the room with the waterfalls that you freeze with the Void Sword, but I sped up the footage at that part.
- The Golem boss is not too bad - you just need to whip or sword the bloody parts of its body to damage it.
- The vampires that try to grab Trevor are far more dangerous, like so many other normal enemies in the game. On Prince of Darkness, they hit HARD, so I had to be really careful, but I still have my moments in this playthrough. At least when the enemy has an unblockable attack coming, it's more obvious than in the first game.
- My favorite way to kill a lot of normal, smaller enemies is to do that heavy whip combo where you hold the square button and then when Dracula two hands the whip and starts slamming it down, keep mashing to complete the combo.
- At the beginning of the Acolyte boss battle, you have to use the Void Sword projectile to freeze her so you can run over and attack, otherwise she'll keep rushing away from you. This game required a lot of creative uses of its powers, to the point that I had to look at the solutions on google for some of them to remember what to do. I am NOT a creative thinker in the real world.
