One of my all-time favorite albums is the self-titled debut album of singer-songwriter, musician and producer Christopher Cross. That album was just phenomenal, with almost every track being radio-friendly and single-ready, and it's one of several albums that I own in multiple formats--vinyl, cassette tape, and CD. "The Light Is On" is a favorite track of mine from that album and was placed on the B-side of his hit single, "Never Be The Same," which went to #15 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1980. I really thought this track deserved to be a big hit and should've been released as a separate single; those arrangements with the distinctive guitar and keyboard hooks plus percussion heard throughout are just awesome.
