Songs with Love in their Titles, part 2 of 6
This was a #1 hit for singer-songwriter and actress Janet Jackson in 1993, which contained samples from James Brown's 1974 song, "Papa Don't Take No Mess." The version I've posted here is my own personal edit of the track, bringing together both the 7" and 12" remix versions by British DJ and producer C.J. Mackintosh, who softened up the beats and added a lovely chime-like riff and synth percussion heard throughout the song. "That's The Way Love Goes" also went to #1 on the USA Dance charts and R&B charts, and to #2 on the UK Pop chart.
