This was one of my favorite songs of 1987, and it's by Polish-English singer-songwriter Basia Trzetrzelewska, who's simply known by her first name. "Time And Tide" was also the title track of her debut album and was released as a single that became a Top 40 hit, going to #26 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, and at #19 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The harmony and musical arrangements used here are just lovely, and in fact, Basia's debut album had truly outstanding engineering, with each song highlighting her amazing three-octave vocal range.
