Little Lucca has been through something no baby should ever experience. Clinging to his mother, he survived the electric shock that took her life.
Sadly, electrocutions like this are all too common for Costa Rica’s wildlife. As forests shrink, animals are forced to navigate dangerous power lines, with tragic consequences.
Lucca was rescued by SINAC and brought to our centre, where we will do everything we can to help him recover. It won’t be easy—losing his mother at such a young age will have lasting effects. But we will fight for him, just as we do for every animal that comes through our doors.
Now, all we can do is give him the best possible care and hope he finds the strength to heal. ❤️
