Time for some good 'ol brotherly brawling. Not much more needs to be said on that front.

First off...if you didn't pick Dawncaller, I believe Randall will have it in his inventory. Renewal while having it equipped is going to be annoying with all that hp he'll get back every enemy phase. Luckily I don't need to worry about that!

Randall comes packing a Silver Axe, Steel Blade, and Greatlance here alongside House Steel's regalia, the Bolwerk. This grants the wearer +5 to skl/luck/def/res and prevents critical hits.

On top of all that, Randall's personal skill is Pride of Steel. For each 25% of his max hp he loses, he'll do an extra 2 points of damage and take 2 less damage.

There are three ways this chapter can end...either Randall wins, Baudimon & Mortimer win, or the turn limit is reached. The secret lunatic objective, understandably, is a simple one here...Randall has to be defeated, no questions asked. There's also a reward for taking out Randall, but it won't be seen for a few chapters.

One thing to note...Randall does move if anyone's in his attacking range so it's best to let him come off the throne first before you commit to any major offensive.

Also, as a rather clever AI move...Randall flat out doesn't attack Mortimer's clone. This is actually a good thing cause that means one extra attacker per turn.

Mortimer could practically solo this via chugging Elixirs and roasting Randall via counters. I do that for the most part until Randall's in range to get his face bashed in by Baudimon's Hammer.

As for the secret event...just before the enemy's 3rd turn, Mortimer says a rather peculiar battle cry which perplexes both his brothers.

After the fight ends, it seems Randall's about to kick off, but someone else enters the throne room and it's....Samuel? How'd he sneak in without anyone else noticing?

Randall thinks Samuel's here to save his own hide. Oh dammit, he's gonna do a heel face turn isn't he? Samuel says no, saying "Long live the king...".

The scene then shifts to Jakka & pals outside the throne room. Aylanda's starting to worry about Baud and wants to go into the throne room to check...and that'd be fine if it wasn't being guarded by Galahad and some of his steel knights. There's no getting past him...or the fact Speargarden & Flameguard decide to raid the castle from every entry point imaginable. No choice, the team has to fall back...except even the front entrance is a no go. Luckily, there's still the secret tunnels Theodor & Aylanda took way back during the previous assault in the past.

Oh, and the team's gonna have to enact a prison break to save Baud & Mortimer, both whom are brought out of the throne room in chains. Not Samuel or Randall strangely enough. Baud doesn't even mention either one. Either Samuel found a backdoor way out of the throne room...or he really did a face heel turn...and not in Baud's favor I might add.

More next time!
