New chapter that kicks off on the boat in the only way it really can...being attacked by vikings!

While they're not coming for this chapter, Emilia & Ariel gets promotions. Emilia gets 6 hp, 3 mag, 3 skl, 2 spd, 3 def, 3 res, and an innate +15 to her crit rate. This means that her base crit rate is 30 before factoring in stats, weapons, or supports. KINDA nutty, especially when my Emilia's doing insanely good in the stats department.

As for Ariel, she gets no new skills upon promotion, but she does get 9 hp, 3 str, 2 skl, 2 spd, 3 def, and 3 res.

For this chapter, you need to prevent the enemy from reaching either staircase on your ship as well as ensuring that Brandon survives for 10 turns. Brandon won't move unless something's in his range.

The secret lunatic objective involves the three viking ships that board you over the course of the map. Each one has a chest on it and all three must be opened to complete it.

The biggest challenge here tends to be the sheer number of reinforcements you have to deal with, especially early on from the western ship. You do get one turn to setup though and fire off any supports you want. Isabelle & Albert is going to be an instant A because Isabelle will get something VERY nice from it.

The other one involves Berit & Shom. Neither one is pairing with the the other, but rather they both get C supports with...Runa? I am indeed fielding her because she never really got a fair shake to gain levels earlier. Thanks to the Shining Bow from ch13 though, she has a way to get some kills and quickly bring up her level. I did toss a couple Bulk Bands her way though.

When turn 2 begins, the western ship officially boards your ship, but one of Brandon's shipmates isn't going to let them have a chance and instantly joins your army. Sure, why not!

This lovely lass is Aisha the Pirate. She's locked to axes when you already have several viable axe users in Berit, Bjarki, Ariel, and Caroline. Like Harriet, Aisha has some perks that make her a competitive choice to try out. One of them lies with her personal axe, Dicer. Brave effect and extremely accurate on top of giving her access to the Gamble command. This doubles her crit rate if selected, but comes at the cost of halving her total hit by 50%.

The other perk lies with her personal skill Brawler. If she takes an attack from an enemy at 1 range, she takes 6 less damage. Surprisingly good...and she has good def & hp to take advantage of that.

Aisha's only weaknesses are mag, res, and skl. Skl's the big one that you might consider bumping with Secret Books & Scrolls since she only has a 25% growth there.

After the western ship boards your ship, this map's secret event triggers with a Bard, Njal, appearing on the eastern ship which will board the main ship on turn 3. He drops a Fiery Chant when defeated which I'll certainly take.

Now, let's talk about the bosses. On the western ship is Sigmar who's by far the easiest one to kill since he doesn't have any extreme gimmicks to worry about save for his personal skill Lone Wolf. If there are no allies within 3 spaces, he gets an additional 30 points added to his crit rate. He drops a Goddess Icon when defeated.

On the eastern ship is a much more threatening individual, Thors. He's a Hero with an Umbra Axe, Brave Sword, droppable Elixirs, and a stealable Dragonshield. His stats are also extremely high and packs the Thunderstorm skill, granting him additional damage, hit, and crit if his weapon weight's higher than his attacker's weapon weight.

The worst though is Greta the Summoner from the southern ship. Not so much for her combat, but because she can summon the phantom skellies from ch5 AND has status staves. Combined with a constant stream of reinforcements and it can be very hard to reach the chest in the back. Luckily, I had Shay decked out to grab the chest if I needed it while Aylanda & Albert both had Restore staves.

On the final turn, a group of green unit Harriers appear in the northwest to murder all the fresh meat that just popped up there. Do what you need to do to end this battle.

After the battle, one of the Harriers, Helga, steps forward and announces that her leader, Skylla, foresaw Jakka's arrival and wants to request his assistance for something. It seems shady, given how Clan Skadi dabbles heavily in the dark arts, but Jakka's options are very limited. This might just give him time to relax and try to formulate a plan to deal with Mortimer.
