Version being played: 0.4.4
Time for the last sidequest. This one's in 2300 AD. Starting from Keeper's Dome, fly to the southern edge of the continent, then fly east to reach the Geno Dome. Robo must be in the party for this dungeon...and do equip him with a Black Mail while he's here.
Upon entering the dome and examining the computer panel with Robo in the lead, a booming voice comes over comms...that of Mother Brain, the AI responsible for robotic shenanigans in the area. Looks like the AI wants us to come to her. We'll oblige her!
What follows next is a conveyor belt with multiple fights in a row. You'll fight things like Debuggests & Proto 4s here. Sometimes just one of the enemy types, sometimes mixed together. Shadow defenses helps immensely with their attacks
After all the conveyor belt battles, you'll enter the main floor. The goal of this area is to collect two dolls that are needed to unlock the boss chamber. Both require some minor puzzles being solved to pickup though.
First thing to note...the sparkle in the southeast. This is a chute that dumps you back to the entrance, allowing you to run the conveyor belt battles again for exp, tp, gold, and extra Barrier & Shield drops.
As for getting the dolls, you'll first want to unlock every circuit on this floor (basically any devices next to a switch). One of them will require you to take an elevator down to the lower level so you can circle around to the back area to disable a laser and hit a switch to reverse the direction of the sole conveyor belt on this floor.
Next, there's a circuit in the middle of the area next to a computer panel. This one, when opened up, produces an electrical charge for Robo when he steps into it. If you run into the circuit near one of the two locked doors, it'll unlock the nearby door. The northeast door has a robot that'll follow you when you interact with it. Take it slowly to the robot in the southwest corner guarding one of the dolls so you can claim it.
The second doll is in the northwest corner. To open the circuit, there's three switches to the north. Hit the first and third switches to open it up, then bring a charge to the circuit, open the door, and claim the 2nd doll.
With the dolls in your possession, return to the lower level with the save point, then make sure Robo's healed up. Going west leads to a pink robot, one working under Mother Brain. Robo obviously isn't going to change sides, thusly a fight starts with just him vs Atropos.
Atropos is basically an evil version of Robo with basically every tech of his minus Shock. Not the hardest to heal back from so pop a Full Tonic when he goes below half health.
After the fight, Atropos regains sanity just in time to expire, but not before granting 3 speed and 10 magic defense to Robo, BOTH permanent stat gains.
Once full control is back, run at the switch to the north to activate it and grab the Megalixir inside.
After destroying some guard turrets in the west, you can use both of your dolls to open the boss chamber. Make sure everyone has immunity to chaos.
Long story short, Robo's gonna protect his friends and take down Mother Brain. Clearly didn't learn her lesson after that stint in the metroid universe, heh.
Mother Brain can potentially be annoying if you come here as your first sidequest dungeon. She has the same Laser Spin & Proto 4 lasers as well as the ability to inflict chaos. Nothing too nasty, but the annoyance factor stems from three computer displays that take part in this fight. All of them only focus on healing the main boss for 1000+ hp per turn they get. Not good so you need to destroy a couple of them.
Why not kill all three? Mother Brain activates a soft enrage of sorts where her defenses shoot up and she uses an AoE that gets stronger each time she uses it.
If damage is an issue, you could opt to stop the one panel. Best way is via Robo & Ayla's double tech Boogie.
After the fight ends, Robo shuts down the dome, then gets the final pieces for powering himself up in the form of two ultimate weapon choices, the Terra Arm & Crisis Arm.
The Terra Arm has no additional effects beyond granting +10 to stamina & power.
As for the Crisis Arm, it trades in the stamina & power boosts for a +5 increase to magic defense as well as a power boost based on how many allies are currently KO'd.
With that, all sidequests are completed. There's just one more small thing to get out of the way, then we can invade the Black Omen.
