It's extremely easy to put Venetica in softlock, which is where the game continues running but has essentially crashed because the player can't take any action other than turning it off. In this, you can trigger softlock anytime after you get The Passage skill, just by talking to a shopkeeper.
This is a simple trick that just requires you to quickly press two buttons in succession, in this case: the hotkey for The Passage (1) and the action key (left-click). When near a trader, the action command will trigger a conversation, but The Passage replaces any left-click actions with "resurrect." If you activate The Passage and quickly left-click, though, the game won't have time to replace the talk command and will go into the conversation. Go to the trading menu and the game bugs out, leaving you at a blank screen without escape.
The fact that you can't even click where the close menu option would be located implies that there's something fairly strange with the way the trading works, as if the filter from The Passage prevents it from appearing. I really don't have a clue about this one.
