Short video to show that you don't even need to meet Draak, since the game provides you a Rune Mine. Just throwing this down lets you boost onto the hill and walk around him, meaning that you never have to activate his trigger.
That said, this of course doesn't affect any future cutscenes, because Draak just shows up anyway. So while it's ultimately worthless, it's still an interesting little oversight.
