Edible landscaping is a huge trend for gardeners who have less than ideal space for a vegetable garden. Instead, tuck beautiful edibles in with your flowers and perennials.

Look for highly ornamental edibles like Peppermint swiss chard, dinosaur kale, curly parsley, mustards, mixed lettuces, and herbs.
Use fruiting shrubs and trees instead of purely ornamental plants. Highbush blueberries for a hedge, strawberries as a groundcover or garden edging, serviceberry as a small landscape tree.
You can also use vertical supports in perennial beds to support edible vines like pole beans, cucumbers or peas.
