In this video our expert Carson Arthur teaches Albert Howell how to edge a lawn.
What you'll need: a half moon edger
STEPS
1. Edging is one of the most overlooked jobs that everyone should
do but nobody does.
2. The half moon edger is the easiest tool to use for this job and
it’s also the least expensive.
3. Edging has nothing to do with the garden and everything to do
with the lawn.
4. Most grass grows down and it also grows sideways.
5. Edging creates the separation between the grass and the
plants.
6. The little bent lip of the edger signifies the front side.
7. When you’re cutting your lawn the bent lip is the side closest to
the flowers.
8. Put the edger into the ground and push forward and pull back
and then pop up.
9. Do in Spring and again in mid Summer.
