With classic EMD Geep's roaring away, The Twin Cities and Western is a cool railroad! The railroad has some neat operations, and it's always a treat to see them in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul area. In this video, we'll watch them make a run to the Minnesota Commercial, and the race back to Hopkins.
With the sun breaking, and bathing Minneapolis in golden warm sun, we'll first see them rolling around the curve at Harrison St. Right after this, the train is seen again working over at the Minnesota Commercial, and meeting some others along the way. One of these trains was the Midway Switch with a pair of former Santa Fe Warbonnets. Now BADLY faded, they're working out their last days in local service. As the TCWR built up it's train, it even had some cool, classic Family Lines cars mixed in, PLUS a large cut of brand new hoppers.
After they departed, the train is seen a few more times. We'll watch it snake past Cedar Lake, and pass the SWLRT construction site, followed by Saint Louis Park, and lastly Hopkins.
