The Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern Railroad makes a run from Mankato, MN to Aurora, SD three times a week as the MMNAU. It runs on a regular schedule, and is always a fun chase as it heads out west. This time, it was met with storms and lots of rain~
A set of four SD40-2s were leading the RCP&E train of over 100 cars, and they wasted NO time heading west as they ran into an incoming storm. They made good time out of Mankato, through town, and out onto the Tracy Sub. From here, they made their way west, and right into a storm. After encountering some rain, we'll see the train one final time as it roars out of New Ulm with all four 40s screaming.
