The Minneapolis and Saint Paul area has a LOT railroad wise, and The Union Pacific has some GREAT trains to see. One of these is the Y-SPBN Transfer which runs from Saint Paul to Minneapolis, and back. With older locomotives, and stiff grades, its always neat to see this train roaring down the tracks.
We'll chase, follow, and shoot this train as it runs from Saint Paul, works its way over to East Minneapolis, and eventually BNSF's Northtown Yard. Things start over at Plato Ave with a Y-SPBN getting ready to go under heavy fog. Once it departs, we'll see it cross the Mississippi River, and start tackling the stiff grades of the Midway Sub and Saint Paul Sub. We'll watching a four SD40Ns scream by in run 8, see a CF7, and lots of other cool locomotives. After arriving at East Mpls, we'll see this train pulling over to Northtown Yard, and arriving in a fierce snowstorm! This train runs each day, and is NEAT to see!
