Minnesota Commercial's fleet of OLDER GE's are getting a workout this summer! FOUR of their B39-E's were put together to lug a heavy Potash Train from New Brighton, and down to their home yard in Saint Paul. After getting their train from the CN, we'll chase the train down the line and see these classic GEs at work.
Things start off under cloudy skies watching the train arrive from the CN. After the CN pulls up, and onto the Minnesota Commercial, the four older GEs from the MNNR will tie on, and take the train south. This was the second of these trains to be interchanged in this manner. It would be cool is this happened more in the future!
