WARNING: THIS VIDEO ENDS WITH A LOUD BANG! Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, with a population of about one million people. I found Zagreb to be a beautiful, really interesting city to explore, and what you're seeing is my Top 20 Things to See and Do in Croatia. Zagreb is divided by Lower Town and Upper Town, and there's plenty of great things to see in each area. We'll visit the heartbeat of Zagreb-Ban Jelačić Square, take a ride on the world's shortest funicular railway, see the architectural magnificence of the Croatian National Theatre and the nearby symbolic Well of Life Sculpture, explore King Tomislav Square, admire Zrinjevac Park, and visit four of Zagreb's unique, offbeat museums: the Museums of Hangovers, Illusions, Broken Relationships, and Chocolate. We then visit the "Stomach of Zagreb," Dolac Market with its famous red umbrellas, walk down Radićeva Street with its many shops and restaurants, walk through Grič Tunnel, a WWII bomb shelter, hang out at "Zagreb Welcomes You," a bronze model of the city, stand in front of the most recognizable landmark in the city, Zagreb Cathedral, walk through the Stone Gate with its chapel and painting of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus, learn about St. Mark's Church, known for its colorful tiled roof, and stand next to 13th century Lotrščak Tower, where we get a great view of Lower Town, and see and hear the loud cannon shot that is fired from the cannon every day at 12 noon.
