The municipality of Ston, Croatia is famous for three things: its Great Wall of Croatia, its oyster farms, and its salt works (fields). In fact, the defensive walls were built in part to help protect the vital salt fields. We are going to see the salt fields that have been used here for thousands of years, and we'll hear our Adventures Croatia tour guide tell us about the importance of salt and how it is cultivated.
