My submission for the Hardware Jams “Stacked Oscillators” Weekend Challenge.
The main drone was created by stacking ramp waves from the Thomas Henry VCOs and combining with shifting pwm pulse waves from the same VCOs, which are also moving in the stereo space too. Secondly, the hardcore kick was created by stacking 3 drumbs modules and applying overdrive and distortion.

This week’s challenge prompt:
Hello Jammers! This weekend I want you to stack your VCOs!
Stacking your oscillators is a nice technique for achieving a rich fat sound with lots of PWM covering a wide range of frequencies! Tune them carefully to match the harmonics or detune them to reach chaotic levels 😃 . One way of doing this is by sending the same CV frequencies if your synths have that option. If not, set them on the same midi channel 😉Many synths have more than one oscillator so try to extend the numbers by this method.

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. While creating this jam I experimented with stacking drums to create a bigger sound.
My DIY Synth Rules

I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
