My submission for the Hardware Jams “Full Speed” Weekend Challenge.
Time for some speedcore then! Mostly at 222bpm with a heavy kick to rattle your brain. I tried to put together a supersaw style lead, but with very few oscillators this involved a few tricks, such as mixing in a PWM pulse wave to add more movement in the sound, and adding slight frequency modulation to simulate the way your ears pick out different frequencies in a supersaw as the waves overlap. Overall I was quite happy with how much I managed to thicken the sound from 2 oscillators by using lots of these tricks.
This week’s challenge prompt:
Hello Jammers!!! For this week’s challenge I want you to raise your BPM! Go FULL SPEED. Your lower limit is 180bpm, there is no roof, go as fast as you like. No cheating half-speeds or time gimmicks’ 😊 you need to go fast!

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. This week I learnt a new technique of mixing a square wave with a saw wave to emphasise a lower harmonic in the saw and then using PWM on the square to add a pseudo detune effect.
My DIY Synth Rules

I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
