My submission for the Hardware Jams “Water” Weekend Challenge.
I used some samples from an interview with Bruce Lee as the inspiration for this jam. I then set up some brown noise waves and played with my newly built Freaq Fm to find some fun sounds. It has a generative sequencer in it and so is a case of taming the randomness, which is a really fun way of improvising. It was great to get back to a jam after a few weeks and to wear my new JamFam t-shirt too.

This week’s challenge prompt:
Greetings Jammers! Happy Friday! Today is ‘World Water day’ so what better way to celebrate than by creating some water-inspired jams. How you choose to interpret this is up to you. You might use the sounds of a dripping tap, or a waterfall, or rainfall to add some ambience. Or you might choose to be inspired by a body of water you love, or a Watersport you enjoy. Or you might create something that sounds like it was recorded underwater. It’s up to you! How will you choose to celebrate this precious resource we have?

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. This week I explored the Freaq FM and had a lot of fun jamming with it.
My DIY Eurorack Synth Rules

I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
