My submission for the Hardware Jams “The Kebab Chase” Weekend Challenge.
This jam took its own journey as I was struggling to get the sound design to match what I had in my head. But came up with some fun sounds anyway which took me in a different direction. I embraced this and came up with this unusual jam that uses rhythmic silence to add some tension into our chase scene. I had fun making it, I hope you have fun listening.
This jam also features a new addition to my studio. I recently bought a Yamaha YS100 synth (which is a 4op digital fm synth), it needs the internal battery changed before I can save custom patches, so I’ll be repairing that soon. But, I used one of the built-in patches to add another texture to this jam and try it out.

Hello Jammers and happy Friday!
So…at the end you didn’t manage to resist and you grabbed that Kebab!!! You tried to sneak out but you got spotted!! Now a big chase is going on and you must RUN!!! Will you escape and taste the spoils or you gonna be busted? Make a jam that describes that chase and let the jam fam decide if you made it!

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. This week I continued experimenting with the Jolin Tabor using it to modulate the main bass sound in this jam.
My DIY Eurorack Synth Rules

I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
