My submission for the Hardware Jams “Movement” Weekend Challenge.
Nothing says “movement” quite like a bouncy castle and happy hardcore!
Which resulted in this monstrosity. In true happy hardcore style it features pitched up vocals, but my inability to play keys resulted in the chorus being played at half the speed of the original sample vocals which results in some very weird effects. Timing is a bit all over the place, but I tried some new things which is what these videos are all about. Keep learning and trying new things.
This week’s challenge prompt:
This week we are asking you to focus on movement. Think of how movement impacts your jams, how subtle changes to percussion can create a groove, or how the change of a filter on an arp can create tension and movement through a jam. Feel free to interpret this challenge as you wish, a dancefloor filler based off the movement of the crowd, a meditative jam focused on the waves of the sea, the motion of a car on a night drive, but try and capture that feeling of movement in your jam.

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. While creating this video I played keys live and used pwm pulse waves to create a lead guitar patch.
My DIY Synth Rules
════════════
I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
