Silver's fine, I guess. But I want more. And maybe Barnacle & Dime is the place to do it. I even get a Wellstring V as the first weapon, which is pretty sweet, as I've been using it in ranked for a while. Or maybe it's a kick in the tentacles, as everyone else has a Grizzco Roller, officially the funnest weapon available. Fine, I'll be shooting Steelheads, then. And reviving my loony rollers as they immediately roll in to trouble. And I suppose the t=rollers do keep the turf clear, letting us dunk a good amount of eggs. But, oop, here comes one of those Steelheads. I've got a job to do. And I don't do it. Never mind, moving on, which I do, until a Chum smacks me around the back of the head. I'm revived quickly, which is the only way a Grizzco Roller can revive anyone, and cram some last-second eggs in to the basket, for a good total that's above average to hit gold.
On to the second wave, and I get the Grizzco Roller! Time to run about like a loony. And maybe splat bosses, mostly by squishing. Including Maws, who can be squished. I don't know how the Steelhead bomb doesn't splat me, but maybe it can't keep up with my speed, but I don't risk it a second time. I even try to splat a Steelhead with the awkwardly slow vertical flick. I would have done it, I think, if a squidmate hadn't splatted it a full second before my flick finished. It's cool, I'll just run eggs to the basket. With my steam-powered roller! I can squish and deliver eggs, which is good, and I avoid Steelhead bombs, right until I don't. That might leave us an egg shy in the final count, but we're above average again in the second wave. We're looking good for gold.
The final wave has the water level recede, and I get Dualie Squelchers. They'll do, even with two more Grizzco Rollers in the squad. At least I can splat the Stinger efficiently. And I can actually splat Fish Fingers, unlike the Rollers, so it's good to have some variety. It would be good to have someone tell me a Maws is nibbling my toes, but we can't have everything. I am revived, deliver the Fish Finger eggs, and splat a Flyfish the easy way, with a Lid. Now to deliver some eggs, while keeping a Scrapper at bay and Chum off my case. Another Fish Finger needs splatting, this time sans Maws, and up at the top I can see everything looks pretty sweet around the basket. Busy, but easily manageable. So we manage the Flipper and Maws and whatever else, and catch a couple of Snatchers on their way to the sea, leaving eggs lying around, ready to be dunked. We easily surpass our decent tallies of previous waves, ensuring us the gold! Woomy!

Im taking the opportunity of being in B-rank to brush up my charger skills. Ill stick with the basic Splat Charger for now. I like the Splat Bombs, and have seen the Ink Vac used against me effectively enough to have a good idea of what it can do. I also need to hit some shots, but this is essentially practice, and I will be missing quite a few. At least in Tower Control I have a good, big target to aim for occasionally, and is the source of my first splat. First two, in fact. An opportunistic Splat Bomb gets my third, and a poor super-jump grants us the Wipeout. Now to ride the Tower.
No purple inklings come close for a bit, and I get to whip out an Ink Vac as we head in to hostile turf, sucking up Suction Bombs left and right. The inksplosion gets a splat too, which is nice, and running away lets me splat an inkling looking to recover the Tower a little early. We get more time to ride the Tower, which is nice, but my aim lets me down as the purple team return, missing the Splattershot Pro a couple of times, before they splat me too easily. I return to be a bit wary of the battle around the Tower, even running away to our turf at one point, but bolstered when I splat a pursuer hampered by a block. I get another splat as I move back towards the Tower, but with a Splat Bomb. Back to aiming, I miss whoevers hiding on the Tower, and rather than sensibly keep my distance, I let them get close to exact another splatting.
I dont super-jump back, which turns out to be sensible, as my squidmates all get splatted. I hide instead, not seeing a need to poke my head out from the ramparts, until my squidmates return. A Splat Bomb gets a splat, and an inkling getting on the Tower is a nice target. I shift my position and start missing shots, something an Ink Vac helps mitigate, and then were back on the Tower. Moving around the corner has a shot find a hiding inkling by accident, but when an obvious inkling jumps my way I cant hit them. So it goes.
More misses as I return, not being able to steady my aim at the Tower. At least I run away from the B-bomb, if not the Hammer. I honestly wasnt sure if the Ink Vac sucked it up. It doesnt, which seems obvious now. The purple team are making good progress, and are threatening our lead. I try to get sensible, but my poor aim and timing arent helping. At least my squidmates are being effective, stopping the Tower and turning it around, and even securing a Wipeout so that we can keep our lead intact. I cant even get on the Tower.
But then I find some mojo. I spot an inkling hitting our flank and splat them nicely, following that shot with a splat on a jumper. I miss the inkling on the ledge, but after avoiding a Suction Bomb I hit the inkling squidding directly towards me. As we round the corner I pull out another Ink Vac, sucking in lots of purple ink and throwing it back for a splat, as I jump off the Tower to avoid an Inkstrike. Or one part of the Inkstrike. I squid directly in to another part of it. But never mind, time is short, and the purple team have a long way to go. I run away from a Hammer, just about dodge a pair of Suction Bombs, and position myself to help clear the Tower for a squidmate to secure our victory. Woomy!")

Im awake! But a little reluctant. I see the Stamper coming and dont really want to run in to them, although I think a squidmate thinks Im not doing anything. No, Im cool, and happy to see the Stamper super-jump out. I hop forwards and get a couple of assists near the Tower, and a bona fide splat after I hop on. Id still rather sit at the back in support, though, given my recent achievements of getting splatted an awful lot, and I do get a bit paranoid about inklings coming to hit us from behind. Not this time, all in front! My Wave Breaker could help finding hidden inklings. Or it could get a splat, as could a decent potshot over the pinklings ledge. Thats a Wipeout too, and we can ride the Tower in peace in to a decent lead, until the Clash Blaster appears.
I remain cautious, although lobbing a Suction Bomb and then coming out blasting is hardly showing caution. Running away is, as is inking the pink turf all around me and taking the long route back instead of jumping over the ledge. Still, we have the lead, its up to the pinklings to ride the Tower now, more so than us. Its good to be able to keep a Crab off us and not shooting too. Still the pinklings dont get on the Tower. Im not going to either, not to present them with a target. I dont really need to anyway sometimes.
Finally, in the fourth minute, the pinklings get on the Tower and start scoring. Theyre not on it for long, thanks to my squidmates, probably the Hydra Splatling in particular, and I help in splatting the Heavy Edit Splatling. I do rather have to hide from another Crab, though, only to survive that and fall foul of the Clash Blaster. So it goes. Both teams lose two squidmates at the same time, which is an opportunity for the pinklings to ride the Tower. I stop it early, splatting their Range Blaster off, before stumbling in to the Heavy Edit Splatling, and somehow splatting them too. I see a pinkling riding the ink rail and try to splat them too, but my first shot misses, and as it is the Clash Blaster, thats enough to get me splatted.
I wait out another Crab as I return, still nearly getting splatted by it even then, and splat the Stamper for their efforts once they transform back. I manage to encounter the Clash Blaster and come away with a splat too, which is nice, and stops another pink push, helped by getting a lucky direct hit on the Heavy Edit Splatling gunning for me. That just leaves the Range Blaster, who I stumble in to and run away from. I move up to throw another Wave Breaker, accidentally running in to all sorts of trouble. Im lucky to get a splat before Im gone too.
We get in to the dying seconds of the battle, and the pink team have hardly done anything with the Tower. That gives me confidence to launch myself at the Tower as they desperately try to turn the battle around in overtime. Too much confidence, I would say. My tactics prior to this moment served me much better. Thankfully, a longer-ranged Suction Bomb works better, stopping the Tower just before our lead was threatened, and allowing my squidmates to secure the victory. Woomy!")

Tornados a pretty straightforward wave overall. And with a Hydra Splatling and Splat Roller we should be mowing down the interfering Chum. Were not, but we should be. I also get splatted, which is embarrassing. Still, its a wave that is difficult to get too wrong, and we breeze in to the second wave. A Cohock rush also tends to be straightforward, if you know what youre doing. I like being in a cannon for this one, and generally have a good time of it all, even when I miss a Stinger completely when its middle pots are shot away. Its quite impressive.
The final wave is a special wave too. This one features Grillers. This shouldnt pose problems either, with the Splat Roller to squish Smallfry and the Hydra Splatling to stop and splat Grillers efficiently. I end up using a Crab partly because I drain my tank using a Splat Bomb to revive a squidmate and partly because its the final wave and I can. We lose coherence shortly after, with Grillers going every which way and Smallfry on the loose, but its nothing we cant recover from. And we can use the time to stuff the basket a little more. Its all pretty smooth in the end.
But its not the end! Zuna pays us a visit. I have the Squeezer, which is fine, even when I find myself cornered by a Steelhead. Zuna tries to jump me too, but I can get away, unlike when Chum push me back in to a Maws. I get a bit lost, and a bit lucky when squeezing past a Steel Eel that isnt after me, but I return to my little ledge to get back to the action, where Zuna is neatly splatted with seconds left on the clock, bagging us a neat four silver scales. Woomy!")

Lets go Snipewriting! I head up the column and start shooting. The salmonids are obliging, by sending only Big Shots and a Steelhead, none of them coming my way, and then I head to the basket to dunk the cannoned eggs. I hit a Steelhead, help with a Stinger probably, and dunk more eggs. A Maws is easy eggs, but things start to get sticky and I am dodging too much. I bring down a Lid but weirdly go for more eggs instead of splatting more bosses, but I get the message as I dodge more and more. I cant choose what to hit, though, which isnt helping anyone. I finally make my choice, and end up dropping down to pull out a first-wave Crab to alleviate the pressure in the last few seconds. It worked for me.
Im Big Swigging it for the second wave. I dont need to help with the Flyfish so I save my ink and head up the Fish Finger instead, which is splatted by the time I get to the top. Okay then. I let my squidmates continue in their direction and watch the other, where I splat a Fish Finger and run away from a Maws, only to get splatted by a Steelhead bomb I didnt see. Everyones too busy to revive me for a bit, and I can only see one inkling, but I am revived eventually. I spin a Stinger and start to get eggs in to the basket, which we kinda need, helped by a Steel Eel and Scrapper near the basket. A couple of Flippers help too, the Big Swig great at making them flop. Two of us combine on a Steelhead, and another Scrapper and Flipper push us nicely over quota. It felt pretty close, though.
The final wave grants me a simple Splattershot, and again the salmonids come from the right to start. We stick to the high turf initially, but drop down for an egg or two. Running back to the basket finds a Steel Eel to splat from behind, and pushing forwards splats a Fish Finger without fuss. The eggs are flowing now, and I nearly make a mistake bringing down a Snatcher too early, and then wonder if I just let it get away instead. I cant see it. Never mind, there are always more eggs. Indeed, there are loads lying around, and more bosses to splat. My squidmates secure quota while I splat a Stinger, and I return to add to the tally by bringing down a Lid. Nice!
But were not finished! Boros is here. I have the Splattershot Jr, which might be lacking in range for this, so I mostly focus on whats on the turf to start. Getting some height helps hit Boros, at least, and we have eggs available to inksplode the Boros Bomb. But I also spy a Stinger, and although it is far away it could cause problems, so I head its way. Its good I do, as a squidmates Inkstrike doesnt quite reach. Another bomb inksplodes in Boross mouth, and its looking good, but when I face a Steelhead I fail to insta-splat it with an egg and try to shoot it normally. Thats not a good decision, and Smallfry make me pay for it. Im revived and get more height again, where I pull out my Crab and start shooting. Along with a B-bomb and Inkjet, we hit Boros with a whole lot of ink in a short time, and splat it soundly. Id say thats worth five silver scales. Woomy!")

Im forever inking walls at the start of battles. It serves a purpose. Maybe not immediately, but it will. I also notice the Carbon Roller on the other team. That concerns me, as their speed and mobility will be a threat. I cant see them as I approach the Tower, and I have checked the walls around me, so I feel safe, which is just the right time for them to squid up the one wall I havent checked and splat me. I nearly inked myself. My squidmates get some revenge, and are pushing the Tower, so all is well, and I risk a super-jump back, landing safely. The Luna Blaster is behind the wall, and I blast a couple of times to keep them honest, but Im still fearing the Carbon Roller. Theyre not around, and theres the Luna Blaster, so I get my first splat, at least.
The Carbon Roller makes their whereabouts known too, thankfully just as I have pulled back. They leap away, but I follow, and mess up the splat. But I get an assist. And then its on to helping the Tower. The Carbon Roller is back immediately! That cant be right. Oh, theres two of them. Im not worried. I blast a bit, then hop on the Tower with a squidmate inflating a Bubble for our protection. I stick to the Tower and blast ahead, splatting the Luna Blaster, and eventually the Explosher, but at the expense of being splatted. Still, for getting two steps away from the goal, that was probably worth it.
I return as the pinklings return the Tower. I avoid a Hammer, and slink under the Tower to surprise the Explosher, and then a Roller from behind. I dont know where anyone else is, though, so I throw out a Wave Breaker, which helps a little, as I move back to our side. Then its forwards again, where a Roller is splatted behind a wall, but the Explosher survives just long enough to activate a Splashdown. The Luna Blaster splats me in all the action, but two squidmates survive and hop on to the Tower. I super-jump back, and spend some time inking walls to stop pinkling movement, and catch the Luna Blaster as I wait for my squidmates to return.
The Tower isnt going anywhere, not when I splat the Carbon Roller off it, but the Explosher remains a threat. I move up to try to splat them, but my shot misses, and they run away after a Splashdown. A Wave Breaker doesnt find them, so I move to the Tower, but just when a Hammer is pulled out. That was poor timing. The pinklings ride the Tower and extend their score, even if they have a long way to go. I make use of the inked walls to lurk, popping out to inexpertly clear the Tower and the turf around. Then its forwards to take on the Explosher, before trying to avoid whatever else is going on. I hang back to make sure no ones around, which works well, as the Luna Blaster pops up behind the Tower and breaks out a Hammer. I have no qualms shooting them in the back.
In more exciting news, our Blaster has disappeared, and has been gone for a good half-minute. Thats not good! I havent noticed yet, which is why I am still happy to go on the offensive, and we do well to push the Tower further than the pinklings have, and get close to the goal again. But we only get so far. And thats when I realise were down a squidmate. Maybe I panic a little, or just get a bit anxious, so I hide and wait for an ambush again. But the Tower is so far away, and takes so long to get here. I leap out early, confident in my aim, but dont clear the Tower. At least we have a big lead to play with, and I have Suction Bombs to throw. One sticks to the Tower and splats the Epxlosher mid-Splashdown again, and although Im splatted, the Tower is cleared for just long enough for a squidmate to bravely hop on, and secure as the short-handed victory. Woomy!")

Gold is nice, I guess, but what about a neat badge for defeating the triumvirate of King Salmonids? It seems pretty tough, but Im gonna try. A high-tide start at Inkblot Art Academy is good, unlike my squid-surge jump in to the water. It would have been so cool if I had pulled it off. I make do with delivering a couple of eggs and failing to drag a Maws back to the basket instead. A Flyfish is splatted only to reappear moments later, which is weird, and then a Lid blocks my line to throw a Splat Bomb at it. Never mind. I bring the Lid down, revive a squidmate, and then bring a second Lid down before being splatted by a Flyfish. Maybe my priorities were wrong. I finish the wave splatting a Drizzler and dunking a few eggs, giving us a decent tally but nothing special. With those weapons, it was a good result.
Normal tide next, if a tide at the Academy can be considered normal. And I have the Grizzco Roller, which pretty much means Ill just be running around as much as possible for the wave. Forgive me if I cant describe what Im doing, as its all just a blur, and partially explains why I fall on to a Steelhead bomb. Running out of ink is troublesome, as are Snatchers, when my horizontal flick barely reaches even them. And although I cant do anything about Fish Fingers, and Steelheads need good timing to splat, we clear the wave without too much issue, and the same egg tally as the first wave.
Back to high tide, which is probably ruining carpets everywhere, and a Splash-o-matic for some straight shooting. As in the first wave, Flyfish dont seem to want to stay splatted, but I realise to splat their zombies in preference to Lids, and I also manage to drag a Maws back to the basket. This wave is going so much better than the first one. A Splashdown helps too, and the second one is nicely aimed, if I say so myself, and thankfully doesnt land me in the drink as I splat most of two Stingers and a Steelhead. Theres just time to for some last-second egg collecting, and we surpass our previous two tallies for a nice finish.
But, of course, were not finished. Here come the Kings. A couple of early boss splats gives me a bunch of eggs to throw at Joe, some of them even hitting, and then its my turn to be targeted. I drag Joe to Zuna, at the expense of running in to danger, and just about get out of Joes shadow to be revived, as Joe bites both Zuna and Boros, taking chunks out of them both. I manoeuvre to get out of the way, only to then get cornered and eaten by a Steel Eel. Still, Joe has almost splatted Boros by this point, and the next bite splats them. I just about survive, and start using golden eggs and my Splashdowns to inflict what damage I can to the remaining Kings, and with some concentrated fire, they are both splatted almost at the same time. We did it! I dont know how we did it, but we did it! Can I get a woomy!")

Im making sure to ink an escape route wall at the onset of high tide. But I do kinda fall in the water. Whatever will my squidmates think of me? Never mind, I am revived in time to splat the Drizzler landed next to me, and manage to evade a splatting from the Chum, and another after splatting the Steelhead. I run away up the ramp, leaping back down, and jumping away from a Maws. Steel Eels arent a problem, and I save my ink when I see a squidmates hit the remaining Flyfish bin, and focus on eggs instead. A Flipper lands near me, with a Scrapper in support, and I flirt with the water again, this time not submersing myself and just creating eggs. Then its on to a Lid and splatting a Stinger, dropping back down to help stuff the basket in the remaining seconds.
The second wave has the tide go out, so its a rush to the shore. Turf is inked, and the bosses awaited, and I try to get the most out of the Dualie Squelchers. I have to appreciate a squidmate moving out of my way, when I dodge-rolled to be there, understanding the dynamics better than me. A Maws is dodged, a Steel Eel evaded, and a squidmate drops a Splashdown to clear the turf. I ignore the Maws again as I see a Steel Eel appear. I splat that, and consider the Lid nearby, but cant clear the turf to drop it. Back to the basket, but another Stinger has turned up. Two of us go down to splat that and a Steelhead, and returning along a different route lets me drop the Lid. A Big Shot/Stinger combination feels threatening, but a squidmate is dealing with it, so its back to the eggs as the wave comes to a close.
The tide comes back in for the final wave, and the skies go dark. Its only Mudmouths, and we have plenty of Special weapons to waste on them. Being high tide also means we dont have far to go to splat the Mudmouths, or to deliver the eggs. Its almost relaxing, and we dunk a good load of eggs for a good finish to the Run. Woomy!")

Ive been rather attached to my bear ears, so lets see if I can branch out to other animals. And maybe do well in Tower Control? Or maybe ink a bit, drain my tank, then miss my shots on the Splat Dualies until they dodge-roll me in to oblivion. Never mind, lets just super-jump right back in to trouble! I do, as well, but thankfully get out of the way of the Tri-stringer, before splatting them and a squidmate. The Splat Dualies catch up with me then and my fate is sealed, but at least I throw out my Wave Breaker first, which curiously bags me the quad. Nice!
Another super-jump, to the Tower, where I get myself in all sorts of confusion, and am almost glad to be splatted to re-orientate myself. I return slowly, and while the Tower is far ahead, my lagging behind lets me see and splat the Tri-stringer. I look for more targets, trying not to get in to trouble, before disregarding any caution and throwing myself at the Tower, just when the Splat Dualies drop a Splashdown on it. At least I splatted one of the orange team first.
A squidmate takes one for the team as I return, but I get revenge with a nice around-the-corner splat on the Goober. The Splat Dualies cause more problems for me, and thankfully a squidmate splats them, before I go looking for opportunity on the orange side. Again, I get confused, wondering which way to go, whos where, and where did the ledge above me go, before appearing behind the lines still with no idea of anyone is. Maybe my Wave Breaker can find someone. I find the Tower, which is good, and I see the orange inklings returning. I splat one of them, but miss the Tri-stringer badly, and instead of focussing on them give chase to the retreating Goober, which was a mistake.
I find my way on to our ledge and wait for the Tower to present a good target next. That lets me splat the Dualies mid-Splashdown, which feels good, and the splats could have racked up with slightly better aim. Still, my squidmates clean up, and the Tri-stringer sensibly super-jumps away, so we have the Tower to ourselves for a bit. I push forwards to claim some turf, dodging away from the returned Tri-stringer just in time. I scoot away from them to find the Splat Dualies throwing Curling Bombs from a hiding spot, which turns out not to be safe from my Range Blaster. I head back the other way to try my luck, but there are more orange inklings and I dont last long.
I super-jump back safely, run away from Tenta Missiles, and dont notice the Tri-stringer disappearing as I tussle with the Splat Dualies again. Thats a shame about the orange team losing an inkling. It does make for the final thirty seconds being rather less competitive, but I think we had the battle under control all the way up to that point, making it a decent victory all the same. Woomy!")

We lost one of our squad of excellent randos after a failed run, which is a shame, but three of us are sticking together, and weve picked up a new rando. Lets do this! Maws immediately ruins the inking Ive been doing, but she gives me three eggs early. I still dont have the hang of the Devaitator, which isnt surprising, so I toy with a Steelhead before running away and leaving it for a squidmate. The others have been busy, keeping the basket relatively quiet, but a new Stinger makes moving difficult for me as I splat a Fish Finger and go for another at range. I am then booped in to the water by a Cohocks tummy, which is just dandy, and the Stinger a squidmate went to tackle solo stings me again, as I board a Lid. The situation looks a bit desperate, but the last egg we need hits the basket, and one squid remains unsplatted, so its on to the second wave!
We can do better than that awkward first wave, and hopefully having the Sploosh-o-matic for more low-wave action will help. Whatever weapons my squidmates have been given looks to be making a difference too, with the Drizzler, Lid, and Scrapper all being splatted almost instantly. More super efficiency, as more bosses are splatted without my seeing whos doing it, and Im okay with that, unlike my rash decision to swim through some Drizzle. Im revived quickly and head up a Fish Finger, coming back with the eggs and crossing the water to see eggs to collect. A pair of Scrappers line up at the basket too, leaving eggs ready to be dunked, and despite another splatting of our own, we shake off the first wave to hit the half-century in the second. Nice!
The tide remains low, and I have the Snipewriter. I think whoever had this in the previous wave really knew their stuff, so lets hope I can continue. I dont do bad bringing down the Lid early, but I run in to a Scrapper for no reason, twice. A Maws disappears, but never mind, and I escape some danger by riding a Lid, dropping down to splat a new Maws. Eggs are appearing close to the basket, which is good, and bosses are kept under control. I manage not to throw a Wave Breaker, and get myself confused, but I release it eventually, and rather than waiting for a Steelhead I simply splat a Flipper in mid-air. Another Steelhead awaits, a Flyfish is targeted by an Inkstrike, letting me focus on the Steel Eel, and then its last second egg dunking, giving us another decent total.
But were not finished. In comes Boros. An immediate Crab does early damage, as I focus on the first bosses, giving us eggs that I mostly wang in to Boross body. I manage to hit the bomb too, which is good, and some good egg throwing by squidmates brings down a Flyfish and gives us space and time to hit the next bomb in quick succession, inksploding it when it looked sure to be thrown. Another bomb, another inksplosion, and although we have a squidmate down, they are revived, we have more eggs, and Horrorboros is splatted with plenty of time to spare. That all felt quite profreshional. Woomy!")

Some early caution pays off, seeing the Slosher trying to flank us and stopping them. I try to remain cautious, holding back a bit, but not with the Toxic Mist. Thats always helpful. It also drains my ink tank, so Im lucky to have a spot of ink left to splat the Dapple Dualies when they appear in front of me. I get a bit close to the front line, though, and drift back for a moment, repeating that a second time. I get the idea to try a bit of flanking myself, not helped by a lack of stage, and then a lack of Tower coming my way, as the orange team have stopped it. I head back that way to support the Tower directly with some sloshing over the ledge, but not hitting much.
My sloshing gets sloppy when the Splattershot rides the Tower, but I just about splat them and get away. It then looks like Im dealing with a serial Splat Bomber, so I choose another vector, which seems to work. I hop on the Tower just after its cleared to get one splat in front of me, and drop down to get another to clear the Tower in our favour. Hoping the track is clear now, I get the Tower moving again, then have the silly idea to abandon it and get closer to the orange team as they return. I dont last long, and the Tower goes nowhere. That wasnt smart of me.
The turf looks too orange as I come back, so I try to do something about that while avoiding all the ink flying around. I have to get closer to the Tower, but I approach from a new angle, which maybe doesnt get the splats I expect but it keeps the orange team moving. Unfortunately, it seems they like to keep moving, and getting deep in to our turf. I get myself splatted, and have done little about all the orange. I do a little bit about the orange when I get back, once the Tower has been turned around. I also notice a couple of inklings getting too close to our landing zone, but as the Tower is moving forwards I dont get involved, and just wait for them to realise and come to me.
I catch one inkling launching an Inkstrike, just about getting clear of that, a second near the Tower, and a third super-jumping to the Tower. It looks like the situation has been defused, and I relax a bit, looking to close down another Inkstrike-throwing inkling. This time, the Inkstrike obscures my view, which would have shown me them ducking behind cover. Instead, I discover this when they pop back out. So it goes. But now the orange team are back on the Tower, and the turf does not look safe anywhere. I am also by myself. I try to stay out of trouble until help comes, by which point we lose the lead, and then I run in to a Splat Bomb.
The orange team extend their lead, and I assume my squidmates can get things under control, as I take a circuitous route to help with my surprise. But my squidmates dont get things under control. Nor are there inklings hiding in the ink to ambush my paranoid self. So by the time I catch up to the Tower, they are nearly at the goal. I cant help but feel a little responsible. Even so, I also think that I would have just got splatted a couple more times taking them head-on. We have less than a minute to recover the battle, which doesnt seem likely, but Im riding the Tower and sticking to it. Well, Im trying to be sensible about it.
I hop off to get a splat here and there, at least while we are in regulation time, which helps a little. But the Tower retreats as time runs out, and the orange team have saved an Inkstrike for just when they dont want us to be on the Tower, and thats at the end of the battle. Never mind.")

Low tide with the Hydra Splatling! That Stinger is toast. That Drizzle is splatted ink! That Fish Finger doesnt know what hit it! And so on. I collect eggs as my squidmates deal with a Flyfish, as I cant Hydra Splatling that, before taking my frustrations out on some Cohocks. I think maybe I loose a charge too soon as a Steelhead waddles up behind a Steel Eel, but I splat both and a Scrapper. A Flipper is splatted before it flops, and I line up two Lids as I am lifted up by a third. A squidmate hasnt got the memo, though, and splats the first Lid. Thats disappointing, and it happens again. Never mind. We hit quota and make it through to the second wave.
A different splatling, and a different tide. A Maws is easy, and a Fish Finger gives me a platform to splat a Flyfish. I sensibly splat a Snatcher to stop my Splat Bomb being deflected too. Not that I needed to throw another Splat Bomb, but never mind that bit. Then on to two Lids, this time not hampered by a squidmate, A Scrapper gets confused about where it is, and that discombobulates me enough to land in a Maws. After being revived, another Lid lets me finish off a Fish Finger, and stop a Snatcher, and we just about get enough eggs in the basket in the dying seconds to scrape through to the final wave.
There are probably bosses somewhere. Behind the big wall that obscures my view, logically. Thats where the eggs end up too, so we get off to a slow start. But the bosses started wandering up from other directions, and the eggs get a bit closer to the basket. I move on from the central column to bring down a Lid, happy a Steel Eel is ignoring me, dropping down to splat that afterwards. We need eggs, and Cohocks are around them, so I pull out a B-bomb and, after some thought, just clear the turf around the collection of eggs. A second B-bomb helps to stop the Flyfish missiles and refills my ink tank, but everyones pulling together and we scrape through the final wave too.
But its not over, as Joe appears! Joe aims for me first, so I aim for the first bosses, getting close, but also cornered. So it goes. At least there are eggs around when Im revived, one of which hits the red spot. Trying to grab another eggs puts me close to Joes lunge, and a Smallfry splats me when trying to keep me there. This could be going better. I run away to splat bosses and get eggs, a Scrapper stopping me splatting a Steelhead, but the jokes on them, as Joe tries to bite me and splats them all. Its a good result! I just go for body shots with the eggs, which is better than nothing, but I still get panned in to the water, far from my squidmates, who have just hit the red spot for some good damage. Maybe its best to leave things to them, but they revive me and I get a couple of good hits in. Or maybe one. Still, Joe is splatted, and with a little time remaining. Woomy!")
