I recently made a Sonic 2 hack and all I done was swap the colours of the three 2 Player Special Stages with the first three 1 Player Special Stages as seen in the video. I changed two colours on the title screen. The green inside the emblem is now pink and the white part of the sky lowest to the island is now light yellow.
The videos shows Tails entering the first 4 Special Stages in Emerald Hill Zone so you can see the first 3 stages edited with the forth returning to the normal default colours.
I also made the default starting number of lives set at X50.
I'm about 25 years too late as a simple hack like this would have been jaw dropping in the year 2000 when Sonic hacking was in it's infancy but oh well.
I've put a revision number on this build in case I one day return to it and do more editing to it, but for now it's left at v1.0.
