When I was a little boy my mum started buying me these little yellow cassettes with story books, they were called ''Once Upon A Time''. There were 60 in total to collect but I only ever got the first 12 issues and an empty second cassette case for the next 12 issues. Every fortnight you could buy a new issue from your local newsagency. As I said I only ever got the first 12 as i'm not sure what happened? Either mum cancelled her subscription or I told her to stop collecting? Which ever way it went I can't remember but i'm regretting not having the full set now as an adult.
This CD features a whole range of background music that was featured in the first 12 issues of ''Once Upon A Time''. You'll hear lots of Richard Harvey, Tony Kinsey, Johnny Pearson and many others.
Finding these pieces of music was very hard as simply looking up the tracks and calling them ''Thumbelina'' or Wizard Of Oz'' turns up no searches as the correct title names are needed in order to find the music.
It took me a very long time to find these pieces of music and i'm still missing many more tracks from these stories, I never did find them all. To make it easier I have named each track after the story it was featured in rather than looking up all the proper names of the pieces of music and labelling them that way.
Lullaby by Tony Kinsey (Tracks 1 & 2) are magnificent tracks that transcend your soul and touch your heart.
I often confuse Fabbri Publishing for Faber-Castell (the company that makes pencils and texters).
