I make german pancakes often ... even though if you buy store bought eggs you might need to be a millionaire to afford them these days ... which brings me to another thing, if you raise your own chickens and harvest your own eggs doesn't mean it is cheaper than buying from a store. But fresh eggs are proven healthier, and the cost is actually more to raise your own chickens and eggs but its a level cost .... with no huge ups and downs in prices due to bird flu or whatever else is happening at the moment (although during vid19, feed prices rose drastically but they have calmed back down some). If you also raise chickens for meat, along with eggs, it might actually be cheaper than store bought with the prices combined ... I haven't bought either from a store in so long I am not sure how it works out in the long run....but many people won't cull their own chickens/pets for meat.
