Singer, actor and producer Sammy Davis Jr. remade this song orignally heard in the 1971 movie, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and turned it into a hit song; singing along with him here is the vocal group The Mike Curb Congregation, who also previously did their own cover version of the song. "The Candy Man" went to #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1972 and also became a #1 song on the Adult Contemporary chart. I love this song, and can remember singing it in classes when I was in Grade School, LOL
