Belated Happy New Year! I'm starting off with one of Madonna's underrated songs from her 1994 album, "Bedtime Stories." That album had mostly R&B material but this track was different as it had an electronic, ambient vibe and was written by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk, together with British producers Nellee Hooper and Marius DeVries. A surreal music video was also made for the song, which was directed by Mark Romanek. "Bedtime Story" went to #42 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1995, but was more successful in the UK, where it went to #4, and of course was a big hit on the USA Dance charts, becoming Madonna's 17th #1 song on that chart. I liked this song a lot, which foreshadowed Madonna's foray into the electronic genre that culminated in her next album, "Ray of Light."
