About this ship -
This is one of the irem arcade game Gallop ships. It lacks the homing beam that its successors have.
Pros
- you can change the beams by changing the ship's speed. The red weapon gets insanely powerful at speed 1 and weaker and more spread out at speed 4. The blue weapon changes its angles at different speeds, wide at speed 1 and focused at speed 4. The yellow weapon is a crawling laser like the Arrowhead's, but can also have its angle adjusted by speed.
- The Wave Cannon is a super powered version AoE blast that deals more damage than the Albatross or Eclipse.
Cons
- stuck with ground missiles.
- you need to be decent at adjusting your speed on the fly to either increase your laser's power or firing angles. This can be tough sometimes if you're not used to it.
About this stage -
This is the icy water version of Twisted Ecology and you can get here by breaking the blue pegs on Negus O Shim enough times. There are swimming water snakes and those Bydo spiders crawling on the ice. Positioning yourself is important to this stage - I didn't kill that giant Bydo snake that came out from underneath me near the end because if I had, its segments would have destroyed my ship. I found that out while practicing.
Negus O Shim is the boss, and it spawns its weak point on either side of its body. Because it's so dangerous to hit while on the right side, it's best to bring a piercing or AoE Wave Cannon. Future World was excellent for this. The tentacles will expand and retract and the segments on them will shoot bullets at you. Either graze the Force through them, fire your lasers, or depending on your Wave Cannon, use that. On R-Typer it's totally luck if you survive with the Force detached, because firing regular bullets at the tentacles sometimes miss the shooting segments leaving you vulnerable.
