Refrigerator Gardening and Potato Herring Breakfast š„š
What happens when you forget your Vidalia onions in the crisper drawer for way too long? In my case ā they started growing! Instead of tossing them out, I decided to turn this ārefrigerator gardeningā experiment into breakfast.
In this short 1-minute video, I show how I used the sprouting onions from my fridge to make a delicious, old-fashioned skillet breakfast ā fried potatoes, kippert herrings, shredded sharp cheddar, a little garlic powder, one egg, parsley flakes, and a few sliced salad olives. Add some rye toast on the side and youāve got yourself a hearty, slightly fishy (but very tasty!) morning meal.
Itās a lighthearted look at how food can surprise us ā sometimes even growing when we least expect it. Who knew your refrigerator could double as a mini garden?
Windows 11 will not work with my CapCut editor, so this is an experiment with Microsoft Clipchamp. I refuse to pay money to Microsoft, so this is only in 1080p; I am not paying to upload in 4k.
