I recently purchased the GoSun Solar Cooker Kit on sale for $45 and wanted to share my first impressions of this compact solar cooker.
In this video, I show how the cooker assembles and disassembles, explain how the different parts work, and demonstrate the features that come with it, including the solar alignment indicator, cooking tube, reflector supports, carrying bag, cleaning brush, and storage pouch.
I did test it earlier by cooking hot dogs, and it worked well. I will be experimenting with more solar cooking recipes in future videos.
This GoSun cooker is one of the smaller models, so the amount of food you can cook is limited, but for someone who wants to try solar cooking without spending a lot of money, it appears to be a very interesting, well-made, and affordable option.
Solar cooking is simple: place your food in the tray, slide it into the tube, point it toward the sun, and let the cooker do the work.
