If we could get out of bounds in the room after the first screen fade in Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, we could potentially float down to one of the lower areas and skip part of the level. This video shows some potential ways this trick could happen.
1. If we get past the door at the entrance, we could float all the way to the loading zone. Clipping through the door is probably the most likely possibility, but going through the nonsolid ceiling (as shown in this clip with moonjump) is worth considering. Also, when you enter the area, Rayman is on the side of the door we want to get to. If we could somehow interrupt the cutscene or stop Rayman from moving, Rayman might not go through the door in the first place.
2. If we get inside the first platform in the room, there is no wall or floor, so we can float from there to the last green lum. When you're reentering the level boundaries, the thorn walls can kill you, but there are certain safe spots you can pass through, as shown in this clip.
3. There is no wall inside the second platform either, so if we could get inside the platform, we could float to the last green lum as shown in the previous clip.
4. Unreal found a method (shown here) to get out of bounds, but it seems like you're too low to get anywhere after using it. I thought that if I went under the green lum and let myself fall for a while, my height would overflow and I would land on the green lum. After a couple hours, the sound got weird and the game crashed. Perhaps that's when my height overflowed. Even if the crash could be avoided, this method is far too slow for a speed run.
