In September, 2013, I rode Amtrak from Portland, Oregon, to Whitefish, Montana, for a stay at the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex. I picked up a rental car and drove east on US Route 2 toward Glacier National Park where I spent a dazzling Sunday enjoying the beautiful vistas. On Monday, I ventured east towards Marias Pass and East Glacier Park where I caught some action from both east and westbound trains. It was a breezy day as you'll see and hear in the video. I tried to keep the wind noise and camera shake to a minimum but that was difficult at times. This is part 1 of 2 for Marias Pass and is part of a group that includes clips taken at the Izaak Walton Inn.
