In September, 2013, I rode Amtrak from Portland, Oregon, to Whitefish, Montana, for a stay at the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex. I picked up a rental car and drove east on US Route 2 toward Glacier National Park where I spent a dazzling Sunday enjoying the beautiful vistas. Arriving at the inn around 4pm, I checked in for a three night stay and grabbed my video camera to record the sights. The first two minutes are shots of the inn and surrounding area along with views of my accommodations. The rest of the video chronicles the passing trains until my departure on Wednesday morning for the drive back to Whitefish.
