This is Exhibit A in how one less experienced player can singlehandedly decide the winner.
That's not all, though - it took smart play from Stein to put himself in that position in the first place. He paid more than usual for 03, then passed on the 13 in favor of 07 on turn 2. This positioned him to get a gift when Ryan bought 23 and gave him the 26 at cost. The rest of the game was academic, especially when Stein landed the 20 for cheap as well. Feel like i played well but should've focused more on that early turn order - staying below the less-experienced players can pay huge dividends!
