YOU FORGOT THE FLAG, JOSH

A much better showing from me this time! Got 06 + 13 at sweet prices, leading to an early money lead. Also buy 05 on turn 2 to store cheap coal for later, which pays off big-time when the 15 comes onto the market. Paying $18 for the 15 is not normally a winning play, but it worked out great here since my opponent didn't move the market in response. That allowed me to get two turns out of the 15, which made it quite profitable.

The key decision point of this game involved the 20, as it often does. Seeing 25 disappear into the Step 3 vortex, 24 as the next plant in the futures market, and building being very cheap...i decided i'd pay around $35 for the 20, and won it for a bit less than that. And guess what, 21 didn't drop out of nowhere for once!!!

Instead, Spara was forced to buy the 24 and drive up the price of trash a bunch; trash's restock rate is only 1/turn in 2P Step 1, plus i was still using 06. Spara also had to buy the 23 later when the market continued to stall, and that's at best a middling plant in terms of capacity + efficiency. My early money lead enabled me to pay for 15 & 20, as i had enough cities to get full use out of them.

Spara may also have overpaid for the 26 with 21 also on the market...i'd put its value closer to $30 than $40 there. Very happy with how i handled that auction!

The game closed out with fantastic luck for me in the Step 3 auction. This particular Step 3 plant market was awful, with few decent 6-capacity plants and 36 as the only 7-cap. Landing 39 at cost was amazing for me, as was 32 appearing on the last turn. Maybe i should have bid some on 30 since i was bottom and it was the only 6-cap on the market, but i had thought maybe Spara couldn't end the game in 2 turns and i could end it at 20 capacity if needed. The fact that Spara replaced the 24 instead of a smaller plant made me real happy, let me tell you!
