Hello, glad to see you again! Just finished what turned out to be a hellish grind to reach a 47% winrate in this game, so now it's time to catch up on videos. =) Very glad to get a game with wildfighter here, as he's up there with Stein as a player but isn't around too much.
This game was mostly simple for me thanks to my fantastic early plants followed by a very cheap 21. 25 was on deck there but didn't arrive for a while longer, giving me a ridiculous advantage. Even my humble 15 made good money during Step 2 since coal wasn't too competitive!
Step 3 was where things got interesting. Was planning to get the 38 for cheap since trash wouldn't be safe for anyone else besides me, but daroj foiled those plants by hugely overpaying for it. That play didn't do him any good but hurt me a lot, so i decided to teach him a lesson and buy out his trash with the 30! My money advantage turned out to be so huge that i could do that and still win after ending the game at 16 capacity. Jonflagg came very close in the end thanks to his great mid-late game, but his worse plants in the early game were the difference.
Let this game be a lesson, kids: don't pay big for a plant if you're not guaranteed resources for it! That's only a play to be made if you absolutely need the capacity and have no other options.
