Sorry, lied about it being last game of the night in my previous vid!
This was a pretty interesting one - i felt i was in a very strong position most of the way, so it's surprising that it became as close as it was. That was mainly because i overpaid for the 20 again, particularly since i could gladly run 16 + 13 until 25 showed up. Having the 20 in 2P makes it impossible to drive the 25 up too high for your opponent, since those two plants are horrible together. Very lucky that 28 was there for me in that spot - perfect plant for me!
16 was a champ in this one too, which was pretty obvious once 26 disappeared into the Step 3 vortex. And amitss's 24 & 29 buys were both probably mistakes: 24 was too early (would've been great a couple turns later), while 29 was too late (right before Step 3, when efficient 5-capacity plants became available). 5-4-4 is not a good place to be with your top 3 plants in 2P!
Meanwhile, i successfully planned out the order of my plant purchases to make as much money as possible. Getting 44 instead of 36 first was crucial, and this was a rare case where 44 was much better than 34. In general i won this due to buying fewer plants than amitss, and executing 5-5-4-7 with precision. A particularly important decision was not putting 39 up for bid, as i would've lost if he stuck me with it!
These last couple games have been the opposite of the Marty games in terms of my luck, that's for sure...
