Finally, our first 3-player game on this channel! Surprised it took this long considering it's normally much easier to get a 3P game than 5 or 6.

Once again i try the psteinx strategy of small cheap efficient plants, but perhaps let the 20 go too cheap to holt. It's just that i never see 20 work out well with the longer games this map creates, and it was a terrible fit with my green plant & bad turn order, but it might have merited a couple more clicks. Feel very good about my 21 bidding and subsequent 22, though.

Unfortunately this game also shows how multiplayer games can be ruined by one mistake. In this case it was buying Plant 29 when the 30 was on deck with 1 player left after you. Since teokop already had a 4-capacity plant, a second one wasn't going to help them reach 17 cities...and Step 3 was coming very soon. Turned out that the next card after 29 was the Step 3 card, which handed the 30 to holt on a silver platter. With trash being so cheap by that point, that was the last nail in the coffin for the rest of us.

The game would've been far more interesting had that not happened, as i had enough money to buy a plant and get to 17 on the last turn. 39 and 30 both would've seen bidding wars given how coal-heavy the rest of the market was, and holt's money lead would be a lot shakier without that free 30 and the extra turn using it before the Step 3 auction. Oh well~

We also gave holt too much space in the opening builds - they should not get Osnabruck in Step 1. Overbidding for 04 meant i wasn't in a position to police them, though, since that would give teokop way too much cheap land. Really thought Germany would entice someone to pay $9 for 04, but forgot that it's a bit less attractive in 3P.
