...Thought I'd share the concept of the 'one stick fire' where you basically take one stick & use only that one stick to make a fire.

...You can apply this to all the different friction fire techniques & a favourite of mine is the bamboo fire but on this occasion I found a piece of Malayan cherry & decided to try it with the fire plough.

...I used the inner bark for the tinder bundle made the set then used the outer bark as kindling to get the fire going. I first got the idea for this from @nwprimate a few years ago now & I find it a great little challenge for myself & if the stick you use doesn't have suitable bark you would have make feather sticks or shave up a bunch of curls for the tinder bundle.
