Big news on the The International Model Car Builders' Museum: the museum is moving to The Museum of American Speed in Lincoln Nebraska. The International Model Car Builders' Museum has been located in Salt Lake City, Utah from its beginning.
The National Model Car Builders’ Museum is a gathering of the single greatest collection of the history of scale vehicle building, including many famous models that advanced the level of craftsmanship. It includes numerous special exhibits, such as a scale-accurate diorama of the 1964 Oakland Roadster Show, and coverage of famed contests like the GSL International Model Car Championship and Convention.
The museum is the brain child of Mark Gustavson, who also was the driving force behind the Greater Salt Lake Model Car Championship, perhaps the preeminent model car contest in the world.
The Museum is governed by its Steering Committee: Paul Anagnostopoulos, Alan Cozby, Mark Benton, Randy Derr, Dale Horner, Mark D. Jones, Vince LoBosco, Marc Weller, Giovanna and Doug Whyte, Bob Wick and Chairman Mark S. Gustavson.
