An introduction to DC block wiring, the classic system that allows the operation of multiple trains on a single track without DCC, a purely DC system of routing power from two power packs.
This system has been used on model train railroads large and small for almost 100 years. While it's mostly fallen into disuse with the advent of digital DCC systems, many still use it as it does not require the installation of expensive DCC modules in locomotives or expensive DCC controllers.
While this system can be used in conjunction with DCC, that's a bit tricky. But we will look at that in a few weeks.
