Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.

Special Thanks to Anshul Sharma

Modern Standard Hindi is the standardized variety of the Hindustani language written in the Devanagari script. It is one of the official languages of India, alongside English, and serves as the lingua franca of North India. Hindi is a Sanskritized form of Hindustani, which is primarily based on the Khariboli dialect of Delhi and surrounding areas. It is an official language in nine states and three union territories and an additional official language in three other states. Hindi is also one of the 22 scheduled languages of India.

Dhatki is a dialect continuum blending elements of Sindhi and Rajasthani (Marwari), both Indo-Aryan languages. It is considered related to either Sindhi or Marwari and is divided into two main groups: Western Dhatki, spoken in Tharparkar, Pakistan, and Eastern Dhatki, spoken along the Indo-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer and Barmer districts of India. The dialects within Dhatki are named based on regions in Tharparkar, such as Muhrano and Samroti. Ethnically, Dhatki speakers include Rajasthanis, Sindhis, and Gujaratis, who are united by this language. While some Dhatki speakers migrated to India after 1947, most remain in Pakistan.
