In the September 30th, 2024, episode of Being Well, Dr. Rick Hanson and I unpack the "Dark Triad" of personality traits - narcissism, Machiavellianism, and sociopathy. We explore how these traits can manifest in everyday relationships, how individuals with these tendencies use charm and manipulation to control situations and people, and offer practical strategies for identifying these traits in others.

Have you ever had a friend not text you back, and youโre certain that theyโre mad at you? This is often a disruption in the process of mentalization: the ability to recognize that our thoughts and feelings might not be facts.
