You can catch Jetragon almost immediately after unlocking your first flying mount in Palworld 1.0. In this step-by-step guide, I show you how to rush to Jetragon at Level 15, collect Ancient Spheres from the Sunreach floating islands, and catch this extremely powerful Pal without fighting it normally.
The first thing you need is a flying mount. One of the earliest options is Nitewing, whose saddle becomes available around Level 15. Once you can fly, travel south to Feybreak Island and locate the boss tower on the southern end of the island.
Fly to the top of the boss tower, where you will find a portal that transports you to the floating islands of Sunreach. After arriving, activate a nearby fast travel point so you can return quickly if the catching attempt fails or you need additional supplies.
Next, explore Sunreach and loot everything you can find. Search piles of junk, treasure chests, containers, and other valuable objects until you collect at least five Ancient Spheres. These are among the strongest Pal Spheres available and give you a chance to capture Jetragon despite being severely underleveled.
Once you have enough Ancient Spheres, wait until nighttime and travel to Jetragon’s lair. Sneak up while Jetragon is sleeping and throw an Ancient Sphere from behind.
Waiting until night is important because an awake Jetragon can deflect the Pal Spheres you throw. Catching it while it sleeps allows you to attempt the capture without beginning a normal boss fight.
If the capture fails, immediately run away until Jetragon stops chasing you and returns to its lair. Wait for it to fall asleep again, sneak back, and repeat the process.
It usually takes me around three or four attempts to catch Jetragon with this method, although the exact number will depend on your luck. Bring several Ancient Spheres so you have enough attempts without needing to return to Sunreach.
Once successful, you will have an extremely high-level Jetragon while still near the beginning of the game, making exploration, combat, and progression significantly easier.
This Palworld 1.0 guide covers:
