SOCCEROOS SICKIE
The Socceroos are only one result away from the knockout stage, but the timing of tomorrow's game has some fans facing a tough choice. Tomorrow, the Aussies will face Paraguay in the final match of the group stage. A draw or a win in this game will mean the Aussies automatically qualify through to the knockout stage. It's why there's a lot of anticipation going into tomorrow. If you've been keeping up with the Socceroos, you've probably been getting up really early to catch the games. But tomorrow's game is the first Socceroos match this year to be playing during school and work hours. And with fans eager to cheer on, some reckon classrooms and offices could be looking a little emptier tomorrow in what's being dubbed "The Great Australian Socceroos Sickie"
UK HEAT RECORD
The European heatwave has broken a record in the UK. The mercury hit 36.1 degrees Celsius in southern England on Wednesday, which marks the hottest UK June day on record. While that might not sound too extreme for Aussies, in the UK, many buildings and infrastructure aren't built to handle those kinds of temperatures. It's forced many schools to close, while others have found some fun ways to stay cool. But forecasts are predicting that the new heat record might not last long, with highs of around 38 degrees by Friday.
SPACE SUITS
Space fashion probably isn't something that many people think about, but with plans to send humans back to the moon, there'll be some new space suits. This is the Axiom Space team in Houston, Texas, and they're the space fashion designers behind these new suits. And it's a big deal because in 2028, NASA's Artemis 4 astronauts will land on the moon for the first time in more than 50 years! See, NASA plans to have astronauts working on the lunar surface longer than ever before, so not only do they have to be comfortable, they need to be flexible, to help astronauts squat and lunge. And the stakes are a bit different to when making just your regular clothing... the spacesuits provide life support, oxygen, temperature control, pressure and protection from radiation and space debris - and just one wrong stitch could mean catastrophe! So, uh, no pressure, I guess. Luckily, they have two more years before these spacesuits see the moon!
MESSI'S BIRTHDAY
Messi has celebrated his 39th birthday! And so have his fans, with people across Argentina taking to the streets in costume and in song to wish him a good one, with some even gathering outside his club's hotel in Kansas City.

Elsewhere in Kansas City, Messi is considered the GOAT in more ways than one. Meet Baby Messi - a goat who was named in honour of the World Cup and is part of a herd tasked with clearing invasive vegetation along the Missouri River.

And finally, from a Baby Messi to a Mega Messi! At 26 metres high, this statue of Messi in Patagonia recreates Messi's reaction to Argentina winning the cup in 2022 and is made up of over 60 tons of steel, iron and concrete.
