Here are all three ways to find and farm Coralum Ore in Palworld 1.0, including the fastest method I recommend using.
Coralum Ore is a high-level crafting material that cannot be mined from ordinary ore deposits. Instead, you need to obtain it from Whalaska, Syndicate Oil Rigs, or ocean salvage using Powerful Fishing Magnets.
The first method is hunting Whalaska.
Capturing, defeating, or butchering a Whalaska can reward approximately three to four Coralum Ore. This method is easy to understand, but the small amount of ore obtained from each Pal makes it relatively inefficient.
You can automate the process by placing Whalaska inside a Breeding Farm, producing large numbers of eggs, hatching them, and then butchering the resulting Pals. This can create a renewable Coralum farm, but setting everything up and processing the Whalaska takes considerably longer.
The second method is raiding Syndicate Oil Rigs.
Treasure chests found throughout the rigs can contain approximately four to fifteen Coralum Ore. This can provide more ore from a single reward, but Oil Rigs contain large numbers of Syndicate enemies, combat Pals, gatling turrets, and anti-air defenses.
There are also only a limited number of chests on each rig, making this a dangerous and inconsistent way to farm large amounts of Coralum Ore.
The third and fastest method is magnet fishing.
At around Level 60, you can unlock and craft the magnets required for ocean salvage. These are produced in large batches, but the initial crafting cost can be expensive.
After crafting the magnets, summon a swimming Pal and travel into the ocean. Search for floating piles of salvage scattered across the water.
Interact with the salvage pile and complete the brief magnet-fishing minigame. Successfully retrieving the salvage can reward Coralum Ore alongside other valuable materials and items.
This is the method I recommend because you can move rapidly between salvage piles without fighting high-level enemies, breeding large numbers of Whalaska, or repeatedly clearing an entire Oil Rig.
