- me having a go at drumming with Phil and Chester on this classic Genesis medley. Had to split it somewhere, so went for the drum duet. Dance on a Volcano is on Part 1.

Los Endos -- well, what can I say about this awesome, incredible, wonderful outrageous epic ending to a live gig. Genesis at their live best. I love this track. Drumming to it is a real challenge, not least because Phil and Chester play entirely different parts at times.
I have tried to play both parts, for example at 0'58 - 1'25 and again at 2'32 - 2'42, where Phil plays the ride cymbal, and Chester does the high toms. I worked out how to play both, practising for this post, but for some reason on this video the tom progression at 0'58 is not quite right - there is a pause before the 3rd tom note which is not supposed to be there. It coincides with the wrong ride cymbal triplet. Pants.
Anyway, there are plenty of other errors on my cover, and lots of compromises. Without eye contact with the band, for example, there was no way I could find the crash at 1'55 or the bass drum at 4'04, without making a real mess of it. After a successful first one, my second single pedal bass drum triple at 1'49 cannot be heard (damn); I don't play what I presume are 'the other drummer's crashes' at 2'12; I manage to miss my crash cymbal at 3'58 after the prolonged snare roll, and then finally after 6'00 minutes I fall apart, and finish the song about half an hour before the band!
Still, I had great fun - you can tell 'cos of the faces I manage to pull. Hope you enjoy.
