If you have seen my full 20 minute two part video of this 'Old Medley' from the 1992 Tour, you will have read that I had problems with my headphones when recording it yesterday.
Today I fixed the phones, so after recording today's Police and Sting covers, I thought I would re-record this hectic Firth Of Fifth section, in the hope that it would be better.
Not sure if it is a great deal better, but it IS a different take; the timing in general is better, and the sound mix is better.
I look a lot more serious and pull less faces, so this could be an improvement, if you like your drummers to look emotionless...........
In another few days I will post ANOTHER version of this that I recorded today - an OVERHEAD camera angle! Someone suggested I try it, and I must admit, it is quite a surprise watching myself from several hundred feet in the air! Anyway, I'll burden you with this bonus track (Firth Of Fifth and also I Know What I Like medley) later on in the week.
At least on the overhead version, the sound quality is such that you can finally hear the fill I am doing at 1:04 properly.
